The Kentucky Retail Federation is the "Voice of Retailing" throughout the Commonwealth, representing retailers of all types and sizes since 1939. From Main Street to the mall, retailers enhance Kentucky's communities and provide a better quality of life for Kentuckians everywhere. Kentucky's retail industry employs 380 thousand Kentuckians and pays more than $9.3 billion in wages annually. Retailers collect over $2.8 billion in state sales tax and pay millions in other taxes to state and local governments.
The KRF is a non-profit trade association created to improve the retail business climate in Kentucky, our members come from across the Commonwealth of Kentucky and are as diverse as the products they sell, from department and drug stores to hardware, apparel and building supply retailers.
The Kentucky Retail Federation is a strong advocate for the retail industry and provides value-added services and programs pertinent to our members. KRF provides government advocacy through legislative lobbying and regulatory monitoring. We support our membership through consistent communication, effective representation and ongoing education.
The association is supported by membership investment dues and governed by a Board of Directors representing the wide variety of retailers and businesses in Kentucky.
